6th Grade vs TIPPECANOE VALLEY MIDDLE SCH (15 - 45) Loss On Monday, the 6th Grade Comets played host to Tippy Valley. The Vikings were very tall! Let us get that out there right up front! The Comets opened the game with good ball movement as the Giants felt us out! The Comets even played some good defense early. Then the flood gates opened. Between turnovers to layups and offensive rebounds to scores, the Comets were down 0 to 11 after the first quarter. The Comets looked sluggish all night and it showed when the Vikings started to flex their height! At half, the Comets were down 5-25! We had no answer for their size and quickness! In the second half, the Comets tried to refocus on doing things correctly. The third quarter was a little better as the Vikings substituted freely. Going into the 4th quarter down 11-33, the Comets were unable to hang with the Vikings. The final score was 15-45! The Comets were led by Bear Craig's 13points going 3-4 from the free throw line! He just couldn't get there enough. Abel Lovelady was able to score 2 points! The Comets understand that they must get better skills if they want to compete against that type of height! The Comets do not play again until next Monday against Pioneer at home! The Comets want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!
