Caston Jr-Sr High School

On a rainy, cool day the Caston Lady Comet golf team traveled to the Tippecanoe Country Club (Par 72) for the IHSAA Girls golf sectional tournament. Despite the weather, the ladies found the golf course in good condition and came home tenth out of 11 teams. Team scores: Rochester: 327 Rensselaer: 356 Logansport: 361 Kankakee Valley: 364 Twin Lakes: 402 Tri County: 434 Demotte Christian: 435 Winamac: 444 Pioneer: 445 North Newton: 470 Caston: 530 South Newton: Incomplete Caston scores: Shayley Strasser: 124 Kylie Reidenbach: 134 Anselma Ramirez: 135 Alyssa Smith: 137 Angel McVicker: 140 Coaches comments: The ladies struggled with the weather and the course at the sectional on Monday. I thought that we would have competed better over 18 holes based on our scores at the HNAC, but it was not to be unfortunately. I want to thank all the ladies who golfed this year, and especially the seniors, Shayley Strasser, Angel McVicker, and Asia Vernon. I look forward to working with Kylie Reidenbach, Anselma Ramirez, Alyssa Smith, Ava Russell, and Leah Ehlinger over the summer, as well as some new recruits so that we can better compete against our opponents.
