Caston Jr-Sr High School

The Caston Boys Varsity team ran to an 18th place team finish at the Graf Memorial Invite Saturday morning. Reed Sommers led the Comets with a 20:02 finish time, followed by Kane Finke just over 30 seconds behind. Freshmen Isaac Albright and Jack Brumett were next across the line for the Comets, with Senior, Max Sommers rounding out the scoring five. With four freshmen on the squad, the first meet of the season always feels a little shaky to me. On top of the typical pre-meet nerves, there's the slight question of how well the incoming members will handle the jump from 3k to 5k. I'm really pleased with everyone's performance today, but I'm especially excited to see how well our freshmen have handled the transition to high school. There's a lot of season left to run, and I'm really excited to see how it shapes up! The Comets will return to Logansport next Saturday for the Cass County Invite.
