Comet golfers were defeated Tuesday evening against the Warriors of North Miami at Peru Municipal. Comets golfers shot an uncharacteristic 226 and the Warriors shot 198. Gavin Fritz was the medalist for North Miami with a 45. Scores for the Comets were Max Sommers(51), Luke Graham(55), Gage Thomas(60), Jace Rentschler(66), Corbin Smith(60), Chas Warpenburg(56), and Gabe Burkett-Rader(66). The highlight of the night was Chas Warpenburg shooting an Eagle on the Par 5 first hole. Warpenburg bombed a drive down the left side, then hit a 3 wood 238 yards with in 7 feet, and drained the put. Comets will play their final regular season matchup Tuesday at Culver Country Club versus Pioneer, North Judson, and Culver. The week ahead, the Comets plan to continue to practice for the upcoming Sectional.
