Comet golfers fell short Tuesday night versus Culver Military Academy and Winamac in a 3-way. CMA was red hot at their home course which they tout is the 2nd ranked 9 hole course in the nation behind Yale’s private course. The pristine course features very undulating terrain with massive greens surrounded by bunkers. CMA fired a team score of 154 with all 4 scores being 40 and under. Winamac struggled with an uncharacteristic 210 and the Comets followed with a 219. The Comets were led by Max Sommers 48, Luke Graham 54, Gage Thomas 62, Jace Rentschler 56, and Corbin Smith 61. Warpenburg brought in a 62 and Burkett-Rader carded a 61. Comets face off Thursday afternoon in a makeup match with Knox at Pond View and will then compete in the 18 hole HNAC on Saturday at Round Barn in Rochester at 9am.
