Caston Jr-Sr High School

On another beautiful day for golf the Caston Comet Junior High golf team traveled to the Waldo golf course ((Par 30) for the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational. The junior high linksters finished 10th in the field of 11. Creekside Homeschool won the invite with a 177. Coaches Comments: The Tippecanoe Valley Invitational at the Waldo is always the last meet of the season for the Comets and is played on a tough course with fast sloping greens and high rough. Despite this the golfers persevered and came home with their first victory of the season defeating Edgewood. I would like to thank Alyssa, Paisley, Olivia, Liam, and Calista for playing this year and look forward to having all but Alyssa back next season. Over the course of the season all of the golfers received compliments from the other team’s coaches and spectators as to how they comported themselves during the matches, specifically keeping their composure and complimenting their playing partner during the match. Like most sports, most of a player's improvement comes during the off-season, so I hope all of the golfers take the opportunity to play often and, if possible, participate in clinics at the local golf courses.
