On Saturday, December 9th, we honored the 2023 IHSAA State Runner-up Softball team for their historic run last spring. 14 team members and 3 coaches were presented with their rings. Thank you, ladies, for captivating our community and giving us a journey we'll never forget! The Caston Lady Comets’ run toward a State title began by capturing our first ever girls’ Sectional softball title by defeating the Southwood Knights by the score of 4-1. Our team then traveled the two hour drive to Freemont High School in the Regional and defeated the host Eagles 20-1. Next, we headed to the Semi-State where we defeated Kouts in the morning game 9-0 and captured the Semi-State crown with a victory over the Cowan Lady Blackhawks 5-3.
