The Running Comets took advantage of the cooler temps, and traditionally fast Winamac course, to bring home the HNAC Conference title! Leading the charge across the finish was Daulton Oaf, who grabbed runner-up honors, finishing in a mere 1.3 seconds behind the leader, Dane Bowditch. The scoring five were quickly rounded out by, Malakai Clayton, Jack Brumett, Carter Moss, and Drew Douglass. The remaining scorers crossed the lined within a scant two and a half minutes, and ten positions of Oaf, for a near perfect team score of 19! (15 being a perfect score. Lower is better.) Further, six of the seven Comets competing, the scoring five plus next-in, Issac Albright, received All-Conference, or All-Conference honorable mention awards! And, all seven Comets ran either a career, or season, best effort! All in all, it was a great day for Comets Cross Country!
