Comets Finally Get a Chance to Play and Capitalize Varsity vs Rochester (3 - 1) Win Last night the Comets traveled to Rochester to take on the Zebras. After several good looks at the goal, the Comets' Simon McGrew netted the first goal of the season. That would be the only action of the first half, 1-0 Caston at the break. The second half brought a little more excitement when the Comets tied the game 1-1 with an own goal about ten minutes into the second half. A hand ball infraction inside the penalty box led to a successful PK hit from Mack Mappin, Comets up 2-1. A few minutes later Reed Sommers sniped a shot from outside the 18, assisted by Drew McGrew, to put the Comets up 3-1 where the game would end. Caston played a good first game and showed great sportsmanship in the face of some adversity.
