The Lady Comets kicked off their 2026 season at the Warsaw Tiger Invitational, with a sixth place finish. Freshman Aliza Rudicel led the Comets across the finish, in 25:57. Also scoring for the Lady Comets were: Trinity Zimmerman, Ella Monical, Sadie Flenar, and Ariyanna Solis; with Emmie Lowe coming across in the tie-breaker position. While Rudicel, Monical, Flenar, and Solis were running their first high school 5k race, Zimmerman and Lowe both improved over their 2025 time on the same course.
