Comet golfers (197) finished 3rd place Tuesday night vs. Knox (180) and DeMotte Christian (178). The Comets were led by Owen Chapman with a 47. Reed Sommers and Brody Brewer both carded 49's, which was Brody's lowest score to date in a match. Drew Williams had a 50 and Jace Rentschler shot a 51. A couple personal bests came from Drew Douglass with a 53 and Bently Williams with a 56. Comets have about 10 days off before they battle Winamac on Senior Night at Pond View next Thursday. Coach Rentschler commented after the match,"I was tickled pink that we stayed dry tonight! We just beat getting drenched. I was super proud of the guys tonight. They cut close to 17 strokes off Monday nights total. I was super excited for Brody, Drew Douglass, and Bently Williams for carding their personal bests. They are just getting started. There will be more to come from these guys."
