A cool, crisp day, and a surprisingly dry course greeted the Comets runners at Tippecanoe Valley Schools today. For the most part, in spite of a more challenging course, most of the Comets ran fairly typical times. Five athletes, however, ran down the hills in the woods to set season, or career, best times. Both seniors, Edison Byrum and Breana Amezquita, as well as Alexa Lowe, all ran their best times to date of the 2023 season, and Curtis Shaffer and Josiah Helt both ran career best efforts today! The Valley meet is one that we always seem to look forward to every year. We're rolling into the mid-point of the season; everyone seems to really be getting into the groove of it; and we tend to have several athletes post great times here. Many of those athletes, traditionally, then continue to break those personal records again and again as the rest of the season unfolds. Obviously, as their coach, I'd love to see that trend continue this year!
