During last Friday night's sectional semifinal contest against the Pioneer Panthers, junior guard, Madisyn Douglass, scored her 1,000th career point with a 3 point field goal from the right wing late in the third quarter. Douglass became just the fourth Lady Comet to reach the 1,000 point plateau. She ended her junior season with 1,006 points and will enter her final campaign trailing only Edie Unger (1,245), former teammate Isabel Scales (1,415), and Amanda Wentzel (1,541) on the all-time Lady Comet scoring list. After the game, Douglass was presented with a game ball by her father, Coach Josh Douglass, and Athletic Director Trent Tocco. She will be celebrated in front of her home fans during halftime of a future boys' basketball contest.
